All airports in the vicinity are also used by our flight school for an extended Pilot training. The training location represents ideal environment for the student, as he learns precision visual and instrumental navigation in different types of airspaces and landmarks. In Slovenia there are three international, major airports. They are equipped with different types of equipment, preparing the student pilot to get familiar with all of these types, that he can meet later in his actual job position as a co-pilot or captain. All the airports have precision (ILS) and non-precision aids (VOR-DME, NDB-Locator, etc.) approach systems available for high quality IR (instrument rating) training. The majority of Slovenian largest part of the airspace is categorized as Class E, up to 7.500 ft, which means almost free flying for all visual training flights. The students can choose among 15 different airports, where 13 of them are free of charge for all landings and departures. The airports are paved (having asphalt runways) and grass airfields.
