Located in the heart of Tel Aviv, the TAU Faculty of Law is Israel's premier law school. TAU Law is home to more than 40 full-time faculty members and over 25 renowned visiting professors all of who are internationally recognized in their areas of expertise. The faculty consists of dozens of adjunct lecturers that teach a broad range of academic disciplines. Approximately 1,600 students from Israel and from more than 20 countries worldwide attend the Faculty annually.
The curriculum at TAU Law includes a vast array of courses and seminars, which are aimed at enhancing students' ability to address local and global legal and social issues. Approximately 45 of the offered courses are taught in English. TAU Law provides a wide range of opportunities for theoretical research and practical legal experience as it strives to create a stimulating learning environment for its students and scholars. Among these are the Faculty's unique legal workshops, which introduces students to cutting-edge research by leading scholars from Israel and abroad, which allows them to review and contribute to yet-unpublished legal scholarship.
Among the many opportunities provided by The Buchmann Faculty of Law, is the Parasol Foundation International LL.M., which attracts top law students from all over the world. This unique program allows international students to delve into the diverse atmosphere and truly experience the academics, innovation and research TAU Law has to offer.
TAU Law’s faculty members have published numerous books and publications in top-ranking law reviews, peer-reviewed journals and university presses. Many of our faculty members are regular guest lecturers at leading law schools in the US and Europe. TAU Law houses numerous prestigious research institutes, facilitating cutting-edge conferences, colloquia and research activities. One of these institutes, The Cegla Center for Interdisciplinary Research of the Law, is host to the Faculty's flagship law review – Theoretical Inquiries in Law (TIL), which is ranked number 1 for citation impact among all non-U.S. law reviews around the world.
The school’s breadth of activity and reputation for excellence had fostered top graduates including numerous Supreme Court Justices, government ministers, members of Parliament, and CEOs of major international companies. Dozens of Faculty graduates serve in senior positions in top American law schools including Harvard and NYU. Through its faculty, students and alumni, the TAU Faculty of Law contribute to meaningful solutions to the world’s most complex legal and social challenges.
