  • Faculty of Science,
  • Faculty of Translation and Interpretation-EII - School of International Interpreters,
  • Warocqué School of Business and Economics
  • Language Institute
  • School of Human and Social Sciences
  • Law School

UMONS offers the usual university degrees, i.e., bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees (PhD).
Whereas most undergraduate courses are given in French, the university offers master courses taught in English in a range of subjects, including topics relevant to the Faculty of Engineering and to the Warocqué School of Business and Economics. Moreover, all faculties offer masters and PhD theses supervised in English.

With more than 700 researchers, the research objectives of UMONS are settled both at the regional and international levels.
The expertise of the university researchers is internationally acknowledged, as demonstrated for instance by the classification by Thomas-Reuters agency of three researchers in the field of chemistry and material science among the Top 100 who have been most influential in their disciplines over the last decade 2001-2010.
