Master’s students have an exceptional endowment: modern laboratories of computer technology and state-of-the-art software. This study program involves teachers and researchers from the Department of Geography and the Department of Informatics of UVT, to which are added external collaborators from the Center for Geoinformatics (Z_GIS) of the University of Salzburg, the University of Bucharest and ESRI Romania.

Master in Algebra, Geometry, and Cryptography

The mission of the master’s studies in ”Advanced research methods in physics” is to prepare qualified personnel for higher education and researchers in a field – closely related to condensed matter physics and theoretical physics. The Master’s program is open to students with a background in physics who are eager to expand their knowledge and experience in a modern physics research environment. Thanks to the experimental and theoretical skills acquired during the study, students will also have the ability to respond to the needs of the industrial community in areas such as materials technology, automotive industry, chemical engineering, IT and others.

Unique in the country, the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics originates in three faculties geologically and geophysically organized after the Education Reform in 1948. Today the traditions of Romanian geology continue to a high level of scientific and didactic approach, on the background of modernization and permanent updating.

The master's degree programs represent the second cycle of university studies and are completed according to article 153, par. (1) of the National Education Law no. 1/2011 through level 7 of the EQF / CEC and of the National Qualifications Framework. They have a normal duration of 1-2 years and correspond to a number of transferable study credits, between 60 and 120.
