IU Distance Learning: Study at your pace

Study when and where you want: The distance learning programme at IU International University (IU) is a state-recognised degree programme that can be flexibly and individually adapted to students' everyday lives - regardless of whether they are in the middle of a career, parental leave or travelling. The innovative learning app IU Learn and the online campus myCampus provide various digital learning tools that make self-directed learning easier than ever before. In selected courses, students can also deepen their knowledge in virtual live formats via video conferencing with lecturers and fellow students or query it at any time with the help of the in-house learning AI Syntea.

The IU distance learning programme can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis and can be started at any time. Students take exams 24/7 as online exams or at one of over 40 examination centres in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as at over 130 Goethe-Instituts worldwide. The range of courses includes German and English-language Bachelor's, Master's and MBA programmes with many specialisations for a wide range of industries and fields of work. All current degree programmes are state-accredited, and certified and have received numerous awards, e.g. from the CHE university ranking, the FIBAA premium seal or online via FernstudiumCheck.

In addition to distance learning, IU also offers an English-language campus study programme with an international management focus, practical dual study programmes and combined offers such as MyStudium, where students decide when they want to study at one of the 25 locations or completely virtually. IU, which currently has over 100,000 students across Germany, is organised by the IU Group.
