European Master in Renewable Energy and European Master in Sustainable Energy System Management

Introduction

EUREC promotes the development of a highly qualified and trained workforce for the renewable energy sector through the coordination of two European Masters in Renewable Energy.

The EUREC Masters are initiatives proposed and developed by the European Renewable Energy Centres (EUREC) and a consortium of Universities in Europe. The programs have been run since 2002 and 2015 by a network of 10 European Universities and research centers who are leading the way in renewable energy research, development, and demonstration. It is coordinated by EUREC EEIG, a consortium of European renewable energy research centers, which has its headquarters in Brussels. The European Renewable Energy Research Centres Agency was established as a European Economic Interest Grouping in 1991 to strengthen and rationalize the European RD&D efforts in renewable energy technologies. As an independent association, it incorporates over 40 prominent RD&D groups from all over Europe.

The European Master in Renewable Energy

The aim of the European Master in Renewable Energy (EMRE) is to train post-graduate students to fill the gap between the growing industry demand for specialized renewable energy expertise and the skills currently available on the job market.

Statistics

Challenging times

Despite the COVID-19 crisis and particular studying conditions, the SESyM students feedback questionnaire showed that 100% of students were satisfied with the program, and even with a lower intake for 2021, EUREC managed to open the whole range of specializations in the European Master in Renewable Energy.

  • 90 students presented their Master's project thesis during the online Presentation Days.
  • These students joined the EUREC Alumni Network.
  • 900+ professionals sharing knowledge and jobs.
