Introduction
The EC2U Joint Master “European Languages, Cultures and Societies in Contact” is a 2-year Master’s Degree (4 semesters, 30 ECTS each, 120 ECTS in total) that provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the European linguistic, cultural and social landscape using advanced research methods in the academic field. This degree is in line with professional practice and will ensure students launch their careers with enhanced professionalism and quality of services in the broad field of language, cultural contact and social diversity.

The EC2U Campus provides students with the opportunity to study abroad, gain multicultural experiences, and expand their professional network. Over the course of their learning journey, students can study in up to 4 of the 7 EC2U universities.

Students will be able to personalise their curriculum: they will choose their study plan in accordance with the course catalogue provided by the universities they’ll be studying at.

The uniqueness of this Master's is “à la carte” courses from the list provided by each university: beside a mandatory common online course of 10 ECTS for each of the first 3 semesters, students will define the rest of the study plan in accordance with the course catalogue provided by the chosen universities.
The fourth semester is reserved for a possible internship and thesis preparation.
Mandatory online courses:
- 1st semester: Discourse in Europe
- 2nd semester: Research Methodology in European Modern Languages and Literatures
- 3rd semester: Research Methodology in European Cultures and Societies
