Introduction
The master's degree provides students with the knowledge and skills to design and carry out research in aquaculture and give professional answers, design and management of continental and marine facilities, environmental impact assessment and R+D+i needs, for the development of the aquaculture industry. . It is an interuniversity master's degree with the universities of A Coruña and Vigo.
In this interuniversity master's degree from the three Galician universities, the student will acquire the basic knowledge, skills and aptitudes that will allow them to design and carry out research in the field of aquaculture, as well as design, manage and control continental and marine facilities, assess their impact environment and respond to the R+D+i needs of the sector, implementing strategies that allow the future development of the aquaculture industry.
Curriculum
To obtain a specialty, in addition to taking 30 OB credits, the TFM of 6 credits and 12 OP credits freely chosen from the offer of elective subjects, linked to the no, students must meet the following requirements:
Aquaculture Production Specialty (professional itinerary)

- Take the following specialization subject (24 credits):

Biotechnology Specialty in Aquaculture (research itinerary)

- Experimental design and data analysis
- Take 15 OP credits from among the following subjects in the itinerary:
- Disease diagnosis

- Genetic resource management
- Structural and functional genomics
- Biotechnological applications in aquaculture

In the 1st semester, compulsory subjects are taught in the afternoon. In the 2nd semester, the modules corresponding to the specialties are taught:
- External internships: 24 ECTS if the Aquaculture Production specialty is chosen.
- Aquaculture Production Specialty: Afternoon or full-day schedule (in the case of specific farming materials
- Biotechnology Specialty: Morning schedule. Theoretical classes are taught by video-conference with the aim of not having to travel.
In the third semester, corresponding to the second year, students will take 24 credits to choose between:
- Internships in Companies* - 24 credits
- Introduction to Research** - 24 credits
- Project - 24 credits
