Graduates of the master study program Masters in Building Materials and Diagnostics of Structures will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in a variety of study activities including excursions, field lessons, the realisation of testing methods by modern equipment and also theoretical lessons with the participation of practice experts.

The Master in Petroleum Engineering study program is a complex study program that includes several disciplines such as geology, chemistry, physics, mechanics, mechanical engineering, material engineering, and IT technology, also including good language skills (primary English).

This study program is aimed to promote the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, research and development and to lead students to apply this knowledge and develop their creative facilities. The graduates will have the basic knowledge in the field of machine engineering and specific knowledge of machines and equipment design.

Master study programme Innovation and Industrial Engineering is young and modern study field reflecting the needs of manufacturing companies. Students will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the innovation of a product and the design and optimization of the manufacturing process of a product.

Students of architecture and urban planning meet with important creative personalities in the field during personal consultations thus lending them valuable experience and diverse perspectives on contemporary architecture and possible urban solutions. Studio assignments are focused on local projects in the Czech Republic (e.g., Prague, Liberec) and international ones in places such as the Netherlands, the United States, and Iceland.

The study program of Business Administration prepares graduates to solve economic situations in enterprises at the middle and upper management levels. Graduates become acquainted with managing the processes of strategic and innovative management in the area of business economics, financial management, marketing operations, and managerial decision-making using selected quantitative methods.

Graduates will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the whole area of textile and clothing technologies, mainly based on the understanding of basic principles and processes, and on the development of corresponding intellectual skills. They will master both the technical part and the part related to textile structure and properties.

The master’s degree program is designed in accordance with the definition of Bioengineering, which is generally an engineering discipline based on knowledge of scientific disciplines. The study program educates students to solve bioengineering problems in the fields of production, development, and testing of new biomaterials that are designed and manufactured for interaction with biological systems. 

The graduate of study programme International Management will be able to critically compare the views of standard economic models at key economic categories and mechanisms, and evaluate their impact on the firm, identify, classify and interpret economic data, including their explicit and implicit assumptions in the application of probability methods, run a quantitative and qualitative analysis of economic data, use the information technology and software support for organizational and presentational activities.

The aim of the consecutive Master’s Degree course Industrial Engineering is to train university-educated professionals to become familiar with quality management and metrology and be able to deal with specific issues in production on-site and apply their quality management skills to various industrial segments.

The Master's degree program in Mechatronics offers a carefully selected blend of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Cybernetics, and Computer Engineering. The range of available courses includes subjects like design and control of electrical drives, big data mining, artificial intelligence techniques, computer vision, smart technologies, advanced automatic control theory, renewable power sources, and many others.

The study program is designed for graduates in bachelor degree programs Coach or Fitness Coach primarily. Actual trends in the area of organization and planning of performance coaching are introduced to the students. The content of the study is built on the current level of knowledge in a wide area of applied sport sciences (eg. physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, performance diagnostics, and psychology). An important part of the content is the methodology of research in various sports. Students develop their "soft skills" during the study. The graduates will find employment in the area of performance coaching or in applied research in sport science.

The Master's program in Gender Studies at the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University in Prague (FHS UK) offers the opportunity for a systematic and interdisciplinary academic study of theoretical and methodological tools for researching and exploring gender issues from a historical perspective, with a consideration of cultural and ethnic aspects of any given topic. Gender studies apply intersectional and interdisciplinary perspectives on gender as one of the basic principles organizing human society and culture. Gender studies focus on the analysis of historical as well as contemporary manifestations of the gender order, the influence of feminist and queer theories and methods in science and research, and other aspects of gender order; they also probe the relationship between gender and other categories of social differentiation and stratification such as race/ethnicity, social status, age, sexuality, and/or disability. One of the specific strengths and an internationally recognized expertise of the gender studies program at the School of Humanities is the emphasis put on analysis and reflection of post-socialist experiences and reflections of gender structuring of the late-socialist Czechoslovak society, and “East European” societies in general. The study program is realized without specialization.

Permitted combinations for this program are single-curriculum or double-curriculum study, which may be combined with any other master’s program where double-curriculum study with this program is permissible.
