Introduction
The Master in Transcultural Spirituality is a university program that offers a transversal in-depth study of the spiritual dimension of the human being from different perspectives, with the aim of providing structured knowledge about the spiritual experience in its anthropological, philosophical, phenomenological, psychological, psychiatric and neuroscientist. As a whole, the master's degree offers an interdisciplinary foundation for understanding the spiritual realm of the human person at a personal, social, cultural and professional level.
Titling
MASTER'S DEGREE FOR LIFETIME TRAINING: two years (60 ECTS) + spiritual immersion experience + master's final project.
Modalities
The master's degree can be taken in person at the IUSM Vidal i Barraquer headquarters, or in online format in synchronous mode.

First course: Spirituality, anthropology and interdisciplinarity.
- Introductory module: the phenomenology of spiritual experience and the great spiritual families in the history of humanity.
- Module 1: Approach to spirituality from philosophical and cultural anthropology.
- Module 2: Approach to spirituality from neurosciences, psychology and psychiatry.
- Module 3: The spiritual in contemporary art. Beauty and transcendence.
Second course: Spirituality, transculturality and society.
- Introductory module: foundations of spiritual worldviews.
- Module 1: The spiritual in the Abrahamic traditions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
- Module 2: The spiritual in eastern traditions: Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism.
- Module 3: New religious movements and new spiritual trends.
- Module 4: The spiritual beyond religious traditions: agnosticism and atheism.
