Our master's program offers you a quality education relating to up-to-date research in the area of tourism. The program is linked to ETOUR, a leading tourism research center in Northern Europe.
The program deals with destinations development and sustainability issues. During your education, you as a student take part in an interesting combination of courses, study visits, and independent research. Upon completion of your studies, you have a strong track record that gives you the opportunity to work in leading positions and to conduct research in a global context. Examinations in this program can either be taken tourism or human geography. Teaching in this program takes place in English. The program is offered at Mid Sweden University campus in Östersund, which is an ideal environment for studying tourism and sustainable development. Easy proximity to the Swedish and Norwegian mountains, means that students can easily access many of the region's top destinations. Because the program is linked to the European Tourism Research Institute, this enables students to participate in current research and develop international contacts....
