Master of Music Orchestral Musician
A successful completion of the bachelor’s degree programme qualifies the student for admission to master’s programmes at the Academy. The aim of the master’s programme is to develop the student’s skills in the creation and practising of music.Within the classical programme, students continue to study their principal subject, but may also supplement the studies with one theoretic or management subject, turning the studies into a double-subject program and thus choosing whether to become a practising musician or music teacher.The MMus (Orchestral Musician) degree course at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus, is a 2-year course during which students acquire specialist knowledge, skills, and qualifications to become musicians at the highest level and distinctive music business entrepreneurs.The course structure has a constant focus on main instrument tuition, and the main study area also comprises Chamber Music which is concluded after the second semester and teaches the student to use his/her instrumental skills in cooperation and communication between musicians.
