Master Degrees in Logistics Management in Central America and Caribbean 2021

It is attached to the Postgraduate Program of the School of International Relations of the National University of Costa Rica. It has three emphases: Management, Ports, and Agro-chains, made up of six quarters where the first three quarters share a common trunk and from the fourth quarter it specializes in the selected area. This Master's program attracts graduates of economics and engineering, where it seeks to provide the student with the latest generation tools in key logistics processes such as purchasing, storage, inventory control, transportation planning, and distribution, and incorporates the most recent technological, managerial, social and commercial trends that are conditioning the discipline that allows them to better face the demands of the current market. -

The Master's program in Maritime Business Administration and Logistics Management seeks to train leaders with the ability to apply tools in the field of maritime business logistics. In turn, it aims to train high-profile specialists in the areas of administration, business, operation, port management, foreign trade, insurance, transport, logistics, and security, areas in which it will be able to exercise capacities such as: diagnose, direct and improve the different organizational systems of the maritime business. -

The graduate of the Master in Logistics Management of Multimodal Transport will possess, among others, the following characteristics in their profile: He will have the cutting-edge knowledge to perform in the teaching of Multimodal Transport Logistics Management, in accordance with the field of the selected specialty of the master's degree. He will develop research as a member of an interdisciplinary network with a high-level individual contribution. He will carry out research as a member of an inter-institutional, national, and/or international network. It will publish the results of the research carried out at the regional, national, and international levels. He will direct the selection and execution of international merchandise transport chains, the links that exist with the production, transportation, and distribution processes. Direct the selection in the process of executing the transportation chain, the legal, international, and local regulations that exist in the transportation sphere. It will design projects of economic-mathematical models, which allow determining the real costs of the transportation alternatives to be evaluated, in order to select the optimum. You will apply the latest technological advances in the fields of information technology and telecommunications to make the management of transportation chains more efficient. -
