The School of Historical Studies (SHS) is a dynamic community of faculty members and graduate students, engaged in a systematic and rigorous inquiry into some of the fundamental questions that concern historical experiences within and beyond Asia. Nalanda University was established following the passage of the Nalanda University Act 2010 in both the Houses of the Indian Parliament. The academic operations at the University started from September 2014.
