Introduction
Educational objectives
The Master of Science program in Economics/Scienze economiche is divided into two curricula: curriculum Standard and curriculum Internazionale. The latter one permits students to obtain a double degree from the Universities of Udine and Graz. The courses offered in the two curricula are the same, and all of them are taught in English. The program of Curriculum Standard is entirely held in Udine, while students enrolled at Curriculum Internazionale are required to spend a semester at the Department of Economics of the University of Graz, achieving there at least 30 ECTS, in order to obtain the double degree. Students who plan to attend courses in Graz can apply for grants reserved to them and assigned according to the rules established by a specific announcement of selection.
The master program provides students with theoretical background and empirical training in economics, at an advanced level. It ensures that students gain an education with solid foundation in economic theory, applied economics, and acquire a good knowledge on policy issues. Consistently with these objectives, a supporting knowledge of mathematical and statistical methods of analysis is provided. Moreover, a proper training in related fields of business and law is assured, in order to guarantee a wide variety of career and job opportunities.
