This course is offered to engineering technologists wishing to upgrade their qualifications within specific areas of engineering:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
The course combines coursework and project work to provide interest and challenge to students. In addition to the technical knowledge expected in a postgraduate course, there is an emphasis on the themes of sustainability, creativity, teamwork, design and leadership throughout the program.
The course includes a 12-week work experience component, which ensures graduates are job-ready and familiar with engineering employment opportunities.
All applicants must indicate their area of specialisation by selecting a stream from the list provided.
The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) receives and processes applications for admission to Charles Darwin University Higher Education prospective students.
Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Science, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or an approved equivalent discipline.
Note: applicants may only study in the stream that matches the engineering area of their undergraduate degree.

This program meets the requirements for accreditation by Engineers Australia at the level of professional engineer. As this program has recently commenced, it is currently provisionally accredited. Full accreditation is expected after the course produces its first graduates.
Please note that students must graduate in the same specialisation as their undergraduate degree specialisation (or an approved equivalent discipline) to meet professional recognition requirements.
